There have been a lot of long days in our house lately. Our 16 month old has been restless at night, and most nights she ends up in our bed or on the sofa with one of us. We are tired… so tired. That doesn’t stop all the millions of things that need to be done just to make it to the next day. Making dinner, lunch packing, bath time, bed time, “mommy I’m not tired I don’t want to sleep in my bed time” all happens every day no matter how tired we might be from the day before. Still ,we have so much to be thankful for, so today I choose to focus on gratitude.
Today, I am grateful for:
- My amazing husband that did all the things above with me PLUS he got the kids dressed and to school this morning, mowed the lawn, and literally carried (along with my nephew) a trampoline from a neighbors house several blocks away to ours! Yep, this all happened today! #whatamightygoodman
- My sweet children that are like little tornados in my life. They might be wild and loud, but right now they are sleeping. I am thankful for the quiet of their sleep and for the sweet baby (and big boy) cuddles I got before they went to bed. I held my baby girl until she fell asleep and my four year old is sleeping next to me as I type. THIS is a good moment!
- Three amazing women that made me smile today. I took a few minutes out of the work day to have lunch with three women that inspire me and make me laugh. This is the ultimate moment of work life balance for the day! Finding girl time in the middle of the work day with ladies that came from all different areas of the city for a more than just a meal. Lunch included very tame gossip (I know it’s not nice, but it was fun), sarcasm, and lots of talk about the “good old days”. It’s a rare occasion and certainly something to be thankful for!
As busy as the days can seem it feels amazing to take a few moments to appreciate how good life really is! Now it’s your turn! I’m not talking about some massive 21 day gratitude challenge, but every once in a while take a moment to be grateful. Whatever it is that is making your life about more than tasks and routines take the time to appreciate it!
I’d love to hear what you are grateful for today! Take a moment and share your gratitude in the comments! Also, follow my gratitude board on Pinterest!

I love that you do this gratitude post! I will be getting my list ready for next week for my monthly gratitude and goals linky. I would love for you to link up this post to the current month’s linky. Anyway though my gratitude would definitely be the little boy who, when in a good mood, absolutely lights up my world with his smiles and giggles. I’m sure there’s more, but it’s late 🙂

Thanks for sharing your gratitude! I’m still figuring out how this works, but I would love to link up my post. Do you mind giving me the 10 second overview of how to do it?

Thanks for the reminder to be grateful, it really makes such a difference but I know I for one often forget to stop and think of all the things I have to be grateful about.
